Senior Project Manager/Product Owner

Job description

Our client is a leading provider of secure identity management solutions for governmental clients worldwide. They specialize in developing innovative platforms for biometric passports, ID cards, and related services, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager/Product Owner to lead and optimize the development processes for the core platform. This position requires a solid technical background, strong leadership abilities, and experience managing software development teams. The focus is on optimizing platform development processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a managerial role;

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban);

• Proficiency in modern development tools and frameworks (e.g., Java, Spring Boot, Angular, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes);

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills;

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams;

• Experience in platform development, ideally in the identity or cybersecurity sector, is a plus;

• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities:

Platform Development Process Management:

• Design, implement, and continuously improve the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for the platform;

• Establish best practices for development, code reviews, testing, and deployment;

• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Team Leads to set clear development goals and timelines.

Team Leadership and Resource Management:

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of over 25 Software Developers;

• Work closely with HR and senior management for talent acquisition, onboarding, and training;

• Allocate resources effectively across projects to maximize productivity and maintain quality.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Act as the primary liaison between the development team and senior management.

• Facilitate clear communication across teams, ensuring alignment on goals, priorities, and expectations.

• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and QA Engineers to translate requirements into technical tasks.

Project Delivery and Quality Assurance:

• Oversee project delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards;

• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance and software quality;

• Proactively identify and address potential risks and bottlenecks.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

• Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices.

• Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and process improvement.

• Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance development efficiency.
