Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

In this role, you will design, build, and implement scalable data solutions using Databricks and Azure Data Factory. You will be responsible for analyzing data sources, developing ETL processes, and maintaining technical documentation to ensure data quality and reliability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field;

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering;

• Minimum one year of experience using Azure cloud computing technologies;

• Minimum one year of hands-on experience using Databricks, ingesting data using pipelines, and loading delta tables;

• Experience with Apache Spark and Python;

• Experience working in a Data Lake environment handling structured and unstructured data;

• Mastery of SQL;

• Experience with Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Enterprise Big Data platforms;

• Experience with building data pipelines from various business applications like Salesforce, SAP, etc., will be considered a plus;

• Experience with BI Tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense will be considered a plus;

• Excellent written and spoken English (upper-intermediate);

• Ability to work in a global multi-cultural multi-national company;

• Good communication skills and persuasiveness;

• Ability to lead conversations with both technical and business representatives;

• Proven ability to work both independently and as a part of an international project team.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, build and implement data solutions based on DataBricks and Azure Data Factory;

• Analyze the data sources, design and develop Databricks pipelines to ingest the data;

• Design and create ETL processes supplying Data Warehouse;  

• Preprocess of structured and unstructured data, create queries in databases;  

• Establish and maintain technical specification documentation.
