Position description: You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive requirements gathering, analyzing business needs, and facilitating communication between stakeholders and the development team. Your expertise will ensure the successful delivery of patient support systems, focusing on product information, usage guidance, and insurance management.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field;
- 5 years of experience in business analysis, particularly within software development projects;
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies is essential.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques;
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Technical Proficiency:
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies;
- Experience using requirements management tools like JIRA and Confluence;
- Basic understanding of programming languages and databases is advantageous.
Certifications:
- Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) are preferred.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work environments;
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
- Keen attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
Domain Knowledge:
- Understanding of the industry domain relevant to the project (e.g., finance, healthcare, or retail);
- Ability to quickly understand and articulate complex business processes and requirements.
Responsibilities:
Project Management and Coordination:
- Manage business analysis activities within the project, ensuring alignment with project goals;
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, developers, and other team members;
- Ensure business analysis deliverables are completed on time and meet project requirements.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth requirements gathering through interviews, workshops, and surveys;
- Analyze and document business requirements, ensuring they meet business objectives;
- Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements for the development team.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with stakeholders to understand and clarify their needs and expectations;
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team;
- Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns in a timely manner.
Documentation:
- Prepare detailed documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRD), functional specifications, use cases, and user stories;
- Ensure project documentation is accurate, thorough, and up-to-date.
Solution Design and Validation:
- Collaborate with the architect and development team to design solutions that align with business requirements;
- Validate solutions through testing to ensure they meet documented requirements;
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist stakeholders in providing sign-offs.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the business analysis function and the broader project;
- Implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and deliver higher-quality results.
Risk Identification and Management:
- Identify risks associated with business requirements and solution designs;
- Work closely with the project manager to develop contingency plans to address potential issues.
