Head of the QA Center of Excellence (CoE)
We are seeking a dynamic Head of QA CoE to lead the development and expansion of our QA Department and enhance our quality assurance services.
Job Description
This critical role includes strategic pre-sales and upselling initiatives, conducting maturity assessments to maintain the highest service standards, and contributing to our service development and overall business strategy with a strong strategic vision and business acumen. In this position, you will lead a department of 70+ QA Specialists, nurturing close relationships with enterprise-level clients and fostering a culture of excellence
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience, including QA management roles in projects of similar scope and complexity;
- Management and/or Quality certifications are highly preferred;
- Fluency in English with strong presentation skills;
- Willingness and ability to travel within Europe;
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills;
- Proven leadership abilities and skills in motivating teams;
- In-depth knowledge of QA and software development lifecycle methodologies, tools, and best practices and their value to the business;
- Competence in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients;
- Additional expertise in test automation, data QA, performance, or security testing will be beneficial;
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, fostering an engineering culture, and driving process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and mentor a team of QA Specialists and Leads, instilling a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives;
- Lead service development activities, including QA offerings and case studies, to meet the evolving needs of our clients and the market;
- Actively participate in pre-sales activities, proposals, and RFPs, working with the Sales and Marketing teams to identify opportunities for upselling and QA service expansion;
- Provide expert consultation in the setup, planning, proof of concept, delivery, training, and handover of test solutions;
- Conduct comprehensive maturity assessments of our QA services, pinpointing areas for improvement and formulating strategies to elevate service quality and efficiency;
- Develop appropriate quality management systems to ensure contractors meet contract requirements;
- Collaborate closely with relevant business lines and other stakeholders, supporting a focus on quality in project delivery and ensuring the implementation of quality control by the project/program;
- Manage staff in alignment with the organization's policies and applicable regulations, overseeing human resource matters such as performance appraisal, professional development, disciplinary actions, and problem resolution;
- Contribute to the QA process planning and execution for projects, enhancing the effectiveness of project delivery within the assigned business line;
- Identify and assess risks through data review and quality control processes, providing risk mitigation support, planning corrective/preventive actions, and offering guidance for improvement.
