Problem/goal

LL Flooring, a prominent player in the flooring industry, faced the need to migrate from old on-premise SAP PI/PO platform to the advanced cloud SAP BTP Integration Suite. The migration was complex, involving over 200 interfaces, 23 systems, and numerous Electronic Data Interchanges (EDIs). This  required a seamless transition without disrupting company's ongoing operations. Additionally, existing integration landscape included a variety of adapters such as SOAP, HTTP, IDoc, FTP/SFTP, JDBC, OData, Salesforce, and Amazon S3.​

Moreover, LL Flooring aimed to enhance their customer relationship management by integrating SAP CRM with BTP/UI5 to develop a comprehensive Customer 360 View application. This custom application needed to aggregate data from multiple sources, providing a unified view of customer interactions and history, including sales documents, service tickets, complaints, tasks, product purchase history, payment history, alerts, and next action proposals

Solution

To address these challenges, we provided Customer with a meticulous and structured approach for the SAP PI/PO to Integration Suite migration. The key components of the solution included:​

  • Integrations Migration Approach: Utilized SAP's native Migration Tool, incorporating both semi-automatic and manual methods to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the migration process.​
  • Enhanced Configurations: Implemented ABAP proxy configurations and SRT (Service Registry Tool) to enhance integration capabilities and ensure seamless data flow across systems.​
  • Optimization with SAP Integration Advisor: Leveraged SAP Integration Advisor to optimize and streamline EDI integrations, ensuring that all electronic data exchanges were efficient and error-free.​
  • Customer 360 View Application: Developed a custom application using SAP CRM and BTP/UI5, integrated with SAP ECC, CRM, GW, EP, and Fiori. This application provided a holistic view of the customer by collecting and displaying data from various sources, thereby enhancing customer relationship management.
