Direct Procurement Lead
Job Description
The project also includes SAP APO and several third-party systems, including Manhattan WMS. The project will be rolled out from the USA to Europe, specifically in France (Paris, St. Etienne, Beauvais) and Germany (Zeven near Hamburg).
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in direct procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and SAP APO.
- Proven track record in managing complex procurement processes and ERP roll-out projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Willingness to travel and be onsite during key project phases.
Responsibilities
- Lead the direct procurement function for the SAP ERP Roll-out project, overseeing third-party procurement processes.
- Coordinate and manage the procurement activities across two business units, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with IT and functional teams to ensure seamless integration of procurement processes within SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand and address system integration challenges and requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies within the direct procurement function.
- Implement best practices and standardized processes across manufacturing and packaging units.
- Act as the primary point of contact for procurement-related inquiries and issues from internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Develop and deliver training programs for procurement team members and end-users on new processes and system functionalities.
- Create training materials and documentation to support ongoing education and knowledge transfer.
- Lead the testing of procurement processes within the SAP environment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies during the testing phases.
- Oversee the procurement activities for 10 manufacturing sites and 6 packaging units, ensuring a smooth and efficient supply chain.
- Address supply chain challenges and implement solutions to maintain continuity and efficiency.
- Attend onsite meetings and workshops during key project phases in France and Germany.
- Collaborate with local teams to ensure successful project milestones and deliverables.
